    1. Protection is Priority.
ALWAYS apply a leave-in conditioner or thermal protectant (serums or sprays) prior to blow drying. These types of products will help soften and detangle hair, allowing for a smoother, easier blow dry. Leave-in conditioners and thermal protectants also infuse moisture and protein. Hair is left strong, shiny, and healthy.

    2. All Heat is Not Created Equal.
Traditional blow dryers often released dry heat which could be damaging to hair. However, several modern blow dryers like the pHusion Express, feature ionic and tourmaline technologies. Tourmaline eliminates static and creates long-lasting straightness, while ions create smoother, more manageable hair.  Together these revolutionary technologies provide a more hydrating blow drying experience.

    3. Section! Section! Section!
Dividing the entire head of hair into small sections (at least 4) is an important step in the blow drying process. Sectioning provides control and allows you to concentrate the wind power on an area, which is particularly useful for thick, coarse, or textured hair. This technique also detangles hair and reduces breakage. More importantly, sectioning makes blow drying faster and easier!

    4. There's Power in the Brush.
In addition to transitioning hair from wet to dry, blow dryers can straighten and style hair too. But selecting the perfect brush is key! Use the following information to determine what type of brush will create your desired style.

    Paddle Brush:
Great for medium to long hair. This flat brush is not designed to add volume but it is ideal for straightening or creating sleek, smooth styles.

    Sculpting Brush:
Excellent for styles with volume and body. This is the perfect brush for backcombing to add height or creating texture and dimension. It also delivers excellent results on haircuts with layers or choppy ends.

    Thermal Round Brush:
Often used to create soft, rounded ends and movement. These brushes should be selected based on hair length and the desired style.  For example, choose a small round brush for short hair that needs a simple bend. Style with a larger round brush to give medium to long hair more body.
